Current In-Progress Projects
Original: Thrifted; vintage Victrola cabinet to house record player & a small collection of records; painted multiple times in different colors without removing hardware; all electronics had been removed
Restoration: All hardware removed to either be deep-cleaning (preference) or replaced (only if damaged beyond repair) with the exception of having new screws installed; currently undergoing paint stripping process using Citris Strip in order to remove all layers so as to refinish the original wood
Finish: Currently researching the finishes that this cabinet originally came in as to restore it to original condition (if possible); potentially will have a warm medium/honey brown finish with bronze hardware; will install new record player & shelves to store records (shelves were not present when acquired)

Original: Handcrafted by my father 30 years ago; was being looked after by a friend who let it get rained on through the winter; nearly ruined condition when it was returned to me
Restoration: After being allowed to dry out, stripped & sanded down to the original hardwood; removed MDF interior lining & all rusty hardware; replaced trim on lid & around base; waterproofing spray paint used for interior, alongside waterproofing seal between lid and trunk & waterproof ash wood-pattern flooring
Finish: Installed all new matte brass hardware; installed a soft-close system for lid; installed heavy-duty, locking caster wheels; added decorative mountain on lid; built & installed new removeable tray with handle; stained in Minwax "Special Walnut" & sealed with waterproof clear gloss polyurethane
Original: Thrifted; heavy hardwood side table; originally covered in 5-6 layers of paint & stain, with a peeling "wood" pattern shelfliner covering all sides
Restoration: Extensive sanding work to remove all excess layers, which revealed a beautiful wood grain beneath; Olive leaf shelf liner added to bottom shelf & inside drawer; smart outlet (2 3-prong outlets & 2 USB) permenantly added to bottom shelf
Finish: Top, drawer, & feet stained in Minwax "Dark Walnut", base painted in a rich, vibrant green, then sealed in clear gloss polyurethane
Original: Thrifted; plastic coffee table painted in a distressed/weathered purple; 3 broken legs with missing hardware; table top dented in & cracked in the center
Restoration: Removed broken table top & replaced with a beautifully rich piece of mahogany from my shop; removed "weathered" finish & sanded lightly to allow for new paint to stick
Finish: Tabletop stained in Minwax "Special Walnut", base & legs spray-painted in Rustoleum Midnight Blue in Satin; decorative hammered nails added to tabletop & grey/white chevron pattern added to underside of tabletop; sealed in clear gloss polyurethane

Restoration: Carefully sanded to remove deep scratches while keeping veneer in tact to see wood grain; installed under-cabinet wine glass racks as well as a wine bottle rack
Finish: No stain was used, only clear gloss polyurethane to protect vaneer for years to come; pair of sage green floral elephants added to bottom of cabinet doors; installed wallpaper on inside of cabinet & cabinet drawers; installed 'invisible' tape string lights throughout that are remote-controlled & feature multiple colors & light patterns
Original: Thrifted; vintage steamer or travelling trunk; unfinished; featured hand-writing & partial shipping labels attached to it in various locations
Restoration: Cleaned thoroughly & only sanded down sharp edges & potential splinter locations; 1 coat of stain in order to allow for the defects, writing, & labels to be seen through the finish; hinges damaged beyond repair & replaced
Finish: Stained with Minwax 'Red Chestnut' for 1 coat only, then sealed with clear gloss polyurethane to protect; all new brass hardware installed (handles, hinges, & locking latch); slow-close system installed for lid
